What is the Depop 'Make offer' feature all about?

The 'Make Offer' feature is every seller's favorite feature because it increases your chances of selling faster and makes negotiating prices with your buyers easier and hassle-free.

How it works

Making an offer on Depop has never been easier. When a seller receives an offer, they can accept, counter or decline offers received in the Selling Hub under 'Offers.' However, note that offers expire 24 hours after they're sent, so be quick to check and respond to avoid missing out on your next sale.

You'll receive a push notification (if you have push enabled) and an email letting you know you've received an offer in real time. You can check all your previous and existing offers by tapping the Seller Hub icon in the app.

Accepting an offer

You'll automatically be notified if you accept an offer on your item. And Depop will notify the buyer so they can now purchase the item at the price they've offered. It's important to also know that until the buyer buys at their offer price, all other buyers (whether they made an offer or not) will be able to buy the item at the original price or engage in making an offer on it.

Sending counter offers

You can make a counteroffer to your buyer by going to the 'Offers' tab in your Selling Hub and clicking on the item you wish to send a counteroffer for.

What happens if I decline an offer?

There are no repercussions if you ignore or decline any offers you don't want to respond to since all offers will expire after 24 hours.

Are offers received binding?

Offers aren't binding so what this means is that if you've accepted a buyer's offer, they still need to buy the item at their offer price in order to complete the transaction.

Can I accept more than one offer?

Yes, there are no limitations on how many offers you can accept.
